W1 Professorship (m/f/o) for “Education with an emphasis on
inclusion and school development” The following vacancy is to be
filled: W1 Professorship (m/f/o) for “Education with an emphasis on
inclusion and school development”Position Number: 33057Faculty of
Human Sciences at the University of Kassel as soon as
possibleaccording to Section 64 (3) of the Higher Education Act of
Hesse with a development commitment after a probationary period of
6 years to receive a permanent contract as a W 2 Professor.The
professorship is funded by the Tenure Track Programme of the German
Federal Government and the Federal States.The successful candidate
will be expected to represent the field of school development with
a focus on inclusive education in both research and teaching.
His/her research shall cover design and quality of developmental
processes connected to the implementation of inclusive education on
different levels of the German educational system. The candidate
contributes to teacher education (L1/L2/L3/L4, module: “Schule und
Bildungsinstitutionen mitgestalten und mitentwickeln”). Course
language is mainly German. The University of Kassel aims to
implement inclusion in all fields of pre-service teacher training
and the candidate has to support this approach. Furthermore, it is
expected that the professor engages in developing the
“Förderdiagnostische Werkstatt” of the Department of Education and
to affiliate with research groups of the University of Kassel (e.
g. ZELL, FOSS). With this announcement, the university aims to
strengthen the field of empirical studies in education
(quantitative and/or qualitative).Cooperation in academic
self-management is an obligatory integral part of the position to
be filled. Applicants are expected to apply for external research
funding. Scientific publications in the field of the announcement
(in addition to the doctoral thesis) are advantageous.The
employment and performance requirements apply pursuant to §§ 61, 64
(3) of the Higher Education Act of Hessen. Candidates must hold a
doctorate (min. “magna cum laude”) and prove their pedagogical
qualifications through prior teaching experience. Candidates should
also have three years of teaching experience in schools. The
ability to teach in German is a prerequisite for a successful
