Senior Underwriter (m/f/d) Global Legal Protection Insurance (Düsseldorf)

they need. For our location in Düsseldorf we are looking for Your
tasks Establish and enforce underwriting guidelines, minimum
requirements, best practices, frameworks, tools, methods for legal
protection insurance business of the Group and verify adherence to
the guidelines and minimum requirements at local level. Develop,
align with global strategy and support the consistent
implementation of product strategy within the Group, contribute to
the local product development process and lead the sign off process
of (also the referral and escalation process of) the new products,
major product changes and contributing the new product and business
development activities with underwriting expertize. Closely monitor
and conduct regular reviews for assession the underwriting
performance of legal protection insurance portfolio, check the
underwriting practices of individual entities and identify
improvement areas, define action plans in cooperation with relevant
stakeholders and monitor the implementation. Collaborate and align
with all relevant stakeholders in the Group to improve the
technical underwriting capabilities and practices of the Group
entities in order to ensure successful and consistent
implementation of Group product & underwriting strategies.
Facilitate the underwriting “Know-how” transfer within the Group
entities and support local entities for improving their own
underwriting capabilities, tools, methods and processes, actively
support all performance, target setting, strategy, digitization and
planning activities of Global LPI. Your profile University degree
(BA/BS) and / or Master or PhD degree in the relevant areas (e.g.
insurance, legal, finance, statistics, mathematics etc.), Strong
underwriting experience (+5 years) in P&C insurance (experience
in legal protection insurance is preferable but not a must), solid
product development and underwriting experience including the
development of new UW rules / standards, tools and methods as well
as monitoring the technical / UW performance of the portfolio,
Excellent communication and presentation skills as demonstrated in
general conversation, formal presentations and written documents,
very strong ability to work in international business environment
with multiple stakeholders and different pricing and underwriting
teams within the Group, Very good command of English is required
(German knowledge – business fluent or native – is also highly
preferable), Flexibility to travel (mostly within Europe). Fluent
written and spoken business language skills in English We also look
