The Institute for Hygiene and Microbiology of the University of
Würzburg conducts the microbiological diagnostics for the entire
university hospital as well as for additional hospitals in the

chair for Medical Microbiology and Mycology is among the
internationally leading centers for the diagnostics of invasive
mycosis, leads the National Reference Laboratory for Invasive
Fungal Infections NRZMyk and serves as international reference
laboratory. To strengthen our team, we invite talented and

natural scientists. Physicians should hold a specialist title in
microbiology, virology, and infection epidemiology or pursue this
specialist medical training to participate in the medical care at
the Institute for Hygiene and Microbiology. If qualified, we offer
the opportunity to take over the manager position of the
diagnostics division. The applicant should be distinguished in the
field of infection biology, particularly infections caused by
pathogenic fungi, and possess an independent research profile,
which is documented by scientific publications and the successful
acquisition of external funding. The area of expertise should be
complementary and synergistic to the main research present at the
chair and broaden the research topics in place. There are numerous

research institutes, and within the collaborative research centre
TR124 FungiNet for a further personal development of your own
