Professorship in Cyber-Physical Systems (Konstanz)

The University of Konstanz has been successful in the German
Excellence Initiative and Excellence Strategy since 2007. The
Department of Computer and Information Science of the Faculty of
Sciences seeks to fill the position of a Professor in
Cyber-Physical Systems (temporary appointment until March 31, 2021)
in Konstanz The open position is the replacement for the
Professorship Distributed Systems, which is expected to be vacant
as of April 1, 2020. The payment will be analogous to W2 in a
non-tariff employment relationship. Applicants should be
internationally recognized with a research record and teaching
focus on computing systems, ideally in the areas of cyber-physical
systems, autonomous systems, robotics, cyber-security or modelling
and analysis of systems. The position offers excellent potential
for collaboration within the research focus on the Analysis,
Exploration and Visualization of Complex Models and Large
Information Spaces of the department, as well as with the Centre
for the Advanced Study of Collective Behavior, established at the
University of Konstanz in the context of the German Excellence
Strategy. Applicants are expected to be willing and qualified to
teach undergraduate courses in the systems area, in particular on
Computing Systems, Computer Networks, Operating Systems and
System-level Programming. Minimum qualifications include a
doctorate in computer science or a very closely related area, an
excellent publication record, and evidence of successful teaching
