curious data scientist who is passionate about generating insights
from toxicological data for the benefit of our patients. A core
responsibility is to use data science to reveal possible modes of
action that enable the translation of in vivo safety findings from
preclinical species into patient populations. The position is
located at our research site in Biberach an der Riss, Germany.
Tasks & responsibilities As a company representative, you take
over responsibility to enable toxicity data sharing initiatives
(IMI eTRANSAFE and Biocelerate) and explore consortia and in-house
toxicological data. In your new role you integrate emerging
Computational Chemistry methods e.g. from areas such as artificial
intelligence and chemoinformatics. You enable the development
and implementation of new modelling and simulation strategies for
drug safety with a focus on systemic toxicology. In addition,
you will support the project teams in identifying and reducing
safety concerns through the development and application of
computational approaches. This role includes working in a
collaborative team environment as part of the comprehensive safety
assessment of BI´s new chemical entity portfolio. Through your
expertise, you work cross-functionally with computational experts
from related disciplines such as Medicinal Chemistry, Computational
Biology and DMPK. Requirements Master´s degree or PhD in computer
science, toxicology, bio-chemistry or related discipline as well as
demonstrated experience in informatics along with several years of
experience in the pharmaceutical industry or other relevant
organization Sound Knowledge of SEND Expertise in database
generation and scripting in R or other widely used programming
languages like Python is desired Demonstrated experience in
extracting, compiling and analyzing complex data sets for building
QSAR/machine learning models is a requirement. It is preferred that
the candidate also has additional technical skills in the field of
computational chemistry or computational biology Teamplayer with
